My name is Mick Friis, im a creative freelancer currently based on Amager, Copenhagen. but operating all over THE WORLD.

I used to call myself a photographer, this is where I have my roots. At some point I added the title of filmmaker to my resumé. However, throughout almost 12 years of working in the advertisement and media industry, I've taken on so many different tasks that I now simply refer to myself as a freelance creator.

Before I got into production, I trained as an electronics engineer. I've always had a technical mindset, but it didn't take long before I realized I needed a career that allowed me to express my creativity every day.

For over a decade, I’ve worked with local and international brands, agencies, and TV productions—creating visuals that blend commercial storytelling with raw, real-world adventure.

Whether i’m out shooting in controlled studio environments or the unpredictable raw landscape, my focus is always on capturing moments that feel alive.

I’m a problem-solver by nature. From underwater cinematography to aerial drone work, I thrive in complex conditions where adaptability is key. I don’t just create visuals, I want to tell stories.

Perfection is overrated if it means missing the shot. I believe in capturing the right moment over chasing flawless aesthetics because, in the end, the most powerful images are the ones that feel real.
